Michel Léger is the Executive Vice President Innovation at Ingenico group, responsible for the definition of new innovative offers and the development of key strategic partnerships. In his position he is also in charge of the creation of Ingenico Labs, a new entity fully dedicated to innovation.

Providing strategic leadership, Léger plays a significant role in positioning Ingenico as the leading provider of secured electronic payment solutions. Under his direction, Ingenico is helping to grow the electronic payment market, particularly in the areas of security, mobility and added value applications.

In his 30 + years career in the payment industry, Léger has held varied international R&D, marketing, sales, operations, business development and general management positions around the world.

Prior to his current role, he was the Executive Vice President in charge of Global Sales and Marketing and Executive Vice President at Ingenico in charge of R&D and Technology. In his past career at Ingenico he was Managing Director for the Eastern Europe Middle East and Africa region. Previously at Gemalto  he was CEO at Netsize a worldwide leader in the mobile payment industry and  spent 6 years heading the world wide POS business.  Léger was involved in the early stage of development of the smart card technology at Schlumberger Axalto and Gemalto developing smart- businesses in the area of telecommunication, electronic payment parking and transportation.

Leger holds a master degree from the National Institute of Applied Science with major in Telecommunication.
